Religious Integrity and Local Culture (Descriptive Study on Cicarucub Indigenous Peoples of Lebak Banten)

The relationship between religion (Islam) and culture is often manifested in accommodative, complementary, conflicting forms, but for the people of South Banten, (tradition) looks more complementary. Islam ancestral have similar values, so a dynamic, dialectical created that an integral realized. This study employs ethnographic approach, which explains depth about humans, this case Cicarucub community. method used qualitative method; develops solves problems been described analysed terms religious cultural integrity. results state there are meanings similarities with Islamic teachings. (Sunda) proof dynamic religion; it permissible to modify new teachings as long they do not conflict al-Qur`an, hadith, consensus scholars (ijma'), qiyas (analogy). Sundanese also very culture, able coexist teachings, especially Islam.
